Make The Cut Cricut Software Review
What Make The Cut Is And What You Should Expect From It
Everybody loves the Cricut machine. It's the biggest thing that the craft world has seen in years. It can slice, emboss, or trace, anything from paper to chipboard including magnet, plastic and vinyl.
These things are worth their weight in gold... But cricut cartridges are quite expensive. You could pay up to seventy or eighty dollars just for one of them (there are dozens)! Not to mention the fact that you're then limited to whatever the cartridge has programmed into it.
There are solutions to that and some savvy computer geniuses have come up with softwares to use with the cricut that don't require cartridges. Untill now, the most commonly used was Sure Cuts a Lot but there's a new beast on the market: Make The Cut!
Make The Cut! software (for Windows only) allows you to create, design, scale, flip, rotate and otherwise change anything that you want. You read it right, anything; any shape, font, script, letter, form, frame... anything. It's interface (a virtual cutting mat) makes this software easy to use, easy to understand and your possibilities are endless. Users are giving Make The Cut! rave reviews; they're calling it the best software ever. Images can be downloaded, imported, exported and saved into any format you need. You simply hook your Cricut up to your computer, start up the software and away you go.
Make The Cut! will work with any of the Cricut machines; the Personal, the Expression, and the Create. The driver for MTC even has an automatic install, making it easy and convenient for you. You can preview and use any SVG (scalable variable graphic) with Make The Cut software and have multiple windows, projects, or graphics open at one time. You can even cut and paste between them, giving you versatility and ease while you do what you do best.
MTC will allow you to layer, break and split an individual graphic (SCAL can't do that) giving you exactly what you want. Dingbat fonts are no match for MTC and you won't find that to be the same with SCAL, SCAL2 or the Cricut Design Studio. You won't spend any more money on cartridges and Make The Cut can be found for right around $80 dollars. It is well worth every penny. That price includes the excellent technical support and friendly customer service. Best of all you can start using it right now with the free trial version!
